About Our Client

Our client is a family run waste recycling business based in Stoke-On-Trent. They produce high quality base oils from used lubricating oils recovered from around the country. We are going through a significant period of expansion and optimisation and are looking for a new member to join our high performing and valuable team.

Job Description

As Process Engineer you will lead and support projects from conception through to commissioning. You will provide engineering support and leadership across the site to support and improve day to day operations and activities. The role will provide a good opportunity for the individual to consolidate and develop their technical skills through projects shooting whilst also supporting day to day operations.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide process engineering expertise to support the site projects from conception through to completion.
  • Define and identify future improvement projects.
  • Support the site to ensure a safe, efficient, reliable and sustainable operation.
  • Demonstrate sound understanding of process, process safety issues, equipment and standards industry wide.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chemical Process Engineer should have:

  • A Degree or equivalent in chemical engineering, ideally chartered.
  • Minimum 3 years process engineering experience, preferably continuous processes with experience of distillation.
  • Significant process engineering design experience, ideally on small to medium sized capital projects .
  • Desire to challenge the status quoquo, identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Able to work autonomously and influence others within the organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in line with company priorities.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, problem solving and analyticalanalytical tools / techniques.
  • Experience of structured incident and reliability investigations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy (advance MS Excel, exposure to MS Project, design and modelling programs & SharePointSharePoint.
