Job Description

  • Overseeing payroll procedures and ensuring accuracy in all aspects.
  • Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmed reports.
  • Processing correct amounts for employee wages and deductions.
  • Preparing reports for upper management, finance department etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
  • Identifying issues and recommending solutions to improve the payroll system.
  • Coordinating with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires).

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll specialist should have:

  • A strong understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in relevant payroll software.
  • Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and employees.
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities.
  • A commitment to discretion and the maintenance of confidentiality.
