Job Description

As the Paper Mill Production Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for the achievement of envisaged aims, by operating in compliance with safety, environmental and product's safety provisions, ISO 9001 Quality System and Group's policies.
  • Manage the production personnel, including shift rotation.
  • Organise the personnel's technical training, testing their acquisition level.
  • Collaborate with the Production Planning Office suggesting possible corrective actions.
  • Ensure that the product is compliant with the assigned technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Product Office in the permanent updating of technical specifications, signalling anomalies and suggesting alterations for an ongoing improvement.
  • Participate in the activities to develop new products checking their technical feasibility and, if necessary, managing technical tests and sampling.
  • Participate in the assessment of auxiliary raw materials by organising and following their industrial tests.
  • Promote the permanent improvement aimed at the optimisation of productive processes also through innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance in order to guarantee the correct functioning of productive lines.
  • Supervise compliance with safety provisions.
  • Contribute to the creation of new products.
  • Promote a safety, quality and environment -bound corporate culture.
  • Promote the Corporate Principles and Values.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Paper Mill Production Manager should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
  • Essential is experience in a production, operations management role within the packaging or paper mill manufacturing environments packaging.
  • Strong knowledge of converting operations and production processes.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing production teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and process improvement.
