Job Description

The role of Nights Operations Manager will involve:

  • Overseeing warehouse operations on the night shift.
  • Managing the warehouse team effectively through coaching, training and performance management.
  • Achieving and exceeding KPIs and targets set for the team.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and company policies.
  • Managing costs and budgets.
  • Collaborating with other managers to optimise processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Being the main decision maker on the night shift.
  • Providing regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Developing and implementing operational policies.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Nights Operations Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a senior warehouse management role, preferably in a 3PL environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • A track record of making autonomous decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work nights on an ongoing basis.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly WMS.



Advantageous:

  • IOSH / NEBOSH
  • LEAN / Six Sigma qualification.
  • Degree education.
