Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for products, systems, and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Prepare technical drawings and documentation in compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new designs.
  • Support the prototyping and testing phases to ensure design integrity.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective design improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of designs, revisions, and engineering changes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during the design process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for mechanical design.
  • Experience in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions.
