Job Description

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate and completed in a timely manner in compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant standards.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, and analysis of variances.
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Support the annual budget preparation and provide insightful analysis of key financial metrics.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification in accounting or finance - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and management accounts.
  • Proficiency in using financial software
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-finance departments.
