It is known for fostering a collaborative and professional work culture, with a commitment to supporting its employees' professional growth.Job DescriptionAs the Management Accountant based from Kingston, Surrey you will be responsible forOverviewTo oversee the month end cost accrual process including preparation of month end postings, analysis of performance against budget and last year, balance sheet recs and balance sheet review.ResponsibilitiesMonth EndTaking ownership and responsibility for key account lines within the P&L, ensuring understanding of balances and accuracy of reporting;Ensure all month end cost journals are calculated and processed accurately and on a timely basis for key account lines within the P&L;Explanation of variances compared to budget and last year;Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis, investigate and resolve any variances on a timely basis;Management of Fixed Asset Register including reporting on CAPEX vs budget and liaising with business stakeholders;Assisting in Intercompany reconciliationsAssist in year-end audit;Daily and Weekly Sales Reporting - Working alongside other finance team members to ensure the accuracy and delivery of our sales reporting;Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts;Completion of National Statistics forms;Commercial AnalysisSupporting ad hoc analysis across the channels: sales, costs and profitability as requiredBusiness PartneringBuilding relationships and business partnering across the business to enable a mutual understanding of financial impacts and projectionsAd hoc reporting and analysisReview and redesign of reporting, when appropriate, to ensure value-add outputsPreparation of other ad hoc analysis as and when requiredSupport of wider finance team where appropriateThe Successful ApplicantExperienced Management AccountantQualified AccountantAdvanced excel skillsRetail Industry experience is desirable but not essentialAttention to detail and accuracy in all outputsStrong communication skills with the ability to work well both within finance and across the business at all levelsPro-activeTeam player but ability to work independentlyAbility to multi-taskAbility to work well under pressure and to varying deadlines.Good analytical skills and problem solving skills.Good time management and organisation.View to improve procedures including shortening month-end, improve systems and processes where appropriateSelf-motivated with a positive attitude to work.Keen to learn and take on more responsibility.What's on OfferSalary £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experienceBonus Scheme24 days Holiday + 8 days Bank Holiday, holiday days rise with servicePensionHybrid Working 3 days in the office and 2 days from homeFree Parking or based very close to Kingston train station37.5 hour working week60% discount on brandsGreat Progression Opportunities in a highly successful and growing businessThis role is perfect for someone looking to make an impact in a growing retail company that offers progression opportunities.
