With an excellent range of benefits & fantastic culture this is the perfect place to achieve your professional & personal goals.Job DescriptionManagement Accountant duties include:Management of one transactional member of staff within the Finance Team.Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts for two business units within the group. Including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Reconciliations, along with commentary and variance analysis.Preparation of monthly board pack, consisting of performance analysis, commentary, and progress on key strategic actions, to be used by board of directors and senior management team.Full monthly balance sheet reconciliations, covering Fixed Asset Register, Debtors, Creditors, Cash, Intercompany, Stock and VAT Liabilities.Monthly reforecasting of business performance against original budget, along with commentary to support reforecast.Assist and support the creation of annual budgets for multiple business units.Preparation of quarterly VAT ReturnsPreparation of monthly CIS returnOversight and control of all overheads for two business units in line with group purchasing controls.Ad-Hoc reporting to support key business decisions and strategy developmentRegular meetings with sales & production departments to understand and accurately forecast monthly revenue and job completion, along with cost management to ensure margin targets are met.Assist in year-end external audit, fulfilling and completing auditor requests in a timely and accurate manner.Development and management of dashboards across multiple business units and departments to support KPI reporting.Calculation & Posting of Monthly prepayment & accrual journals.Reconciliation of payroll calculations and posting of journals to accounting system.Management of debtor's ledger for two companies, ensuring overdue debt is kept within group targets.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will:Be part qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or QBEHave a proven track record in a similar roleBe proficient in MS Office, particularly MS ExcelKnowledge of Sage would be beneficialBe able to present financial data to non-finance colleaguesBe an excellent written and verbal communicatorWhat's on OfferA salary up to £47,000, hybrid working, on site parking, excellent pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays & more.ContactDaniel SimpsonQuote job refJN-022025-6672002Phone number+44 161 829 0419Job summaryJob functionAccountingSubsectorManagement AccountantSectorIndustrial / ManufacturingLocationManchesterContract typePermanentConsultant nameDaniel SimpsonConsultant phone+44 161 829 0419Job referenceJN-022025-6672002
