Job Description



  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence


  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule court dates, appointments, and meetings


  • File legal documents with courts and government agencies, both electronically and in person


  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems


  • Handle confidential information with discretion


  • Communicate with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals


  • Conduct basic legal research and compile relevant information for attorney review


  • Track case statuses and deadlines


  • Process incoming and outgoing mail


  • Prepare invoices and assist with billing processes


  • Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, greeting clients, and ordering supplies



The Successful Applicant



  • Proven experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a legal setting


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and legal management software


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities


  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy


  • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and documentation
