Land Manager

This role will see you responsible for the identification and securing of sites for new poultry farms in Scotland. Your aim will be to secure land opportunities and options in line with the prevailing company strategy and operational requirements.

As a successful Land Acquisition Manager you will have excellent organisational, negotiation and communication skills with an ability to manage a busy and varied workload of projects efficiently.Key Skills, Experience and Knowledge

• Proven experience of land purchasing and negotiation, ideally within the Agricultural sector
• Extensive contacts within the Scottish rural sector
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the land market in Scotland
• Thorough knowledge of the land acquisition process (including Option agreements) in addition to that for Town and Country Planning and Environmental permitting
• Strong organisational and management skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships based on integrity, trust, and respected financial/ budgetary judgement.
• Flexible with the ability to prioritise effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise independent professional judgement within an overall business context.
• Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
• 10+ years of experience in rural land/estate management and acquisition
• Professional qualification Degree in land / estate management or similar
• Membership of RICS or similar
