Job Description

  • Develop and implement a buying strategy for the knitwear category.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and quality for knitwear products.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to inform product selection decisions.
  • Work closely with the design and merchandising teams to ensure a cohesive product range.
  • Manage the critical path to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies as needed to maintain competitiveness.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all products meet the company's quality and ethical standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Knitwear Buyer should have:

  • Live in commutably distance to their Birmingham office.
  • Experience in a buying role within the retail industry, specifically in knitwear.
  • A strong understanding of market trends and customer preferences in fashion.
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
