Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to help lead and develop, a high-performing inventory team, in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility - shaping operations from the ground up.

  • Manage day-to-day administration and develop Inventory rotas.
  • Update WMOS system and file all stock movement paperwork.
  • Support Credit process control and liaise with suppliers and hauliers.
  • Coordinate with Product Supply Planners on stock and ordering.
  • Perform perpetual inventory counts and control PPE/stationery budget.
  • Deputise for Inventory Manager and provide managerial cover.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness; maintain training records.
  • Manage training bookings and collaborate on learning materials.
  • Assist with staff appraisals and ensure Personal Development Plans are in place.
  • Update training manuals and handle disciplinary investigations and hearings.
  • Drive continuous development of training plans for Inventory staff.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have the ability to support the Distribution Centre in maintaining a professional, fully trained Inventory team skilled in inventory, admin, and credit management, while ensuring Health & Safety compliance.

They will:

  • Have strong negotiating, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Be able to organise and prioritise workloads under pressure.
  • Be able to builds relationships, resolves conflicts, and motivates others.
  • Be experienced in assessment, training, and delivering feedback.
  • Deliver quality work, meet deadlines, and follow safety/compliance.
  • Use resources efficiently, solves problems, suggests improvements and prioritise tasks ethically.

Typical working hours 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday. However, additional cover on weekends may be required to support the needs of the business, details can be discussed during interview.
