Job Description

As a result of business growth, structural and personnel changes, our client is looking to recruit a Risk Manager to cover Liquidity Risk, IRRBB risk, Market Risk and Counter-party Risk.

This Contract would be available for 3-6 months to support whilst they search for and on-board a permanent employee.

Role:

  • Monitor and manage risks within the treasury function (Liquidity, IRRBB, Market & Counterparty)
  • Report risks to the Treasury team and ALCO
  • Contribute to and challenge the continuous development of the Liquidity Funding, Interest Rate Risk and Market Risk policies
  • Utilise and support in the development of the Treasury management system for scenario testing and and stress testing
  • Lead on developing the approach to modelling of retail deposit run-off

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant should have:

  • Demonstrable understanding of balance sheet management and treasury risk principles.
  • Experience of financial risk management techniques, processes and controls.
  • Prior experience of applying the PRA rule-book and other regulatory guidance
  • A practical understanding of Liquidity and / or interest rate risk stress testing
  • Good communication skills with an ability to translate and explain complex issues to non-technical colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
