Our client is a well-established privately owned business that has been operating for over 30 years.

They have grown the business to now owning 4 separate businesses in the Group.

Job Description

This is a very exciting opportunity for a Fully Qualified Accountant to join this privately owned Group as a Group Financial Controller.

This will be a number 1 in Finance role and will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and will report to the Group CEO (owner).

The business has grown organically over the last 30 years without a qualified Accountant on site so this will be both a strategic and hands on role.

There are 2 junior finance assistants currently on site for you to manage.

The role will include;

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and policies
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Oversee financial reporting and analysis
  • Coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Facilitate internal and external audits
  • Provide financial insights to support business decision making
  • Develop local and group wide reporting
  • Deal with the banks and any other lenders

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Group Financial Controller should have:

  • Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Significant experience in a similar role
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills

  • A competitive daily rate of around £350 - £450 per day via an Umbrella company
  • Perm Salary equivalent of £75,000 + discretionary bonus
