Job Description

  • Leading the finance team and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports
  • Contributing to the strategic decision-making process at the company
  • Working closely with other departments to maximise operational efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, in line with plc reporting requirements.
  • Managing relationships with external auditors and financial institutions
  • Overseeing transactional finance functions.
  • Reviewing and improving financial processes and systems
  • External reporting, and group consolidations for a £800m revenue business.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Group Financial Controller should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in a similar role within a similar sized business (£300m-£2bn).
  • Excellent experience in group consolidations oversight, internal and external reporting to plc standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
