A fulltime Interim Accountant position requiring 3 days in the office in central Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a respected organisation in the not-for-profit sector to support over year end.
  • 3 month contract initially

Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Ensure smooth year-end and audit processes

- Support routine finance operations

- Allow permanent staff to focus on system implementationKey Task:

- Prepare, analyse, and distribute monthly management account reports in Excel

- Liaise with departmental heads to gather data and explain reports2. Key Responsibilities2.1 Year-end Accounts & Audit FY25

- Support the team with year-end account preparation and audit.

- Prepare schedules, respond to audit queries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and other finance tasks.

- Produce month-end and year-end schedules to support staff involved in the system transition2.2 Great Plains - Close Down (Year End to 31/07/2025)

- Complete year-end close

- Assist in rolling forward balances into the new system.

- Prepare reports for archiving historical financial data.2.3 Leave Cover

- Provide cover for Finance Director and Financial Controller during leave.

  • - Handle a broad range of finance-related issues.

The Successful Applicant

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised CCAB qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
