About Our Client

Our client is a fast growing business in the financial services industry.

Job Description



· Preparation of month-end journals ensuring excellent support is saved down in readiness for audit.

· Conduct full month end analysis of key P&L accounts to ensure coding is correct and appropriately treated.

· Calculating the Insurer money calculation adhering to the FCA rules

· Reconciling balance sheet accounts to system or external sources so that the recs are readily available by Working Day 10 each month.

· Preparation of year-end supporting documents supporting the outsourced financial accounts production.

· Providing support to external auditors including Contributing to annual audit.

· Cashflow monitoring of transactions to support the forecasting process.

· Review and approval of payments.

· Maintain and enhance robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements

· Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls.

The Successful Applicant

  • Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong Excel skills including the ability to use SUMIFS, XLOOKUPS and SUBTOTALS
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisational skills.
  • An audit background is highly desirable
  • Prior experience of working within Financial Services.

What's on Offer

  • A day rate of circa £300 - £350 a day
  • Contract is initially for 3 - 4 months.
  • Hybrid working available.
