Job Description

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Identify and research potential new suppliers
  • Manage procurement activities related to cost reduction initiatives
  • Prepare and execute proposals, requests for proposals, and other documentation related to the procurement of goods and services
  • Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities
  • Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice, prices and quantity discrepancies
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to the organisation's policies and guidelines

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sourcing Manager should have:

  • An educational background in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the Public Sector
  • Strong negotiating and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficient knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
