This is a top-tier COMAH site and as such H&S is of the utmost importance.The business is looking for an experienced and dedicated HSE professional to take on this pivotal role and some who will ensure a robust HSE culture whilst driving continuous improvement across the plant.Job DescriptionThe HSE Manager will report directly into the Plant Operations Director and will have overall responsibility for all HSE activities on site.The main priorities of this role are:Leading, managing and developing the HSE team of 5 direct reports and a wider team of c.20.Ensuring compliance with COMAH regulations, Health & Safety legislation and ISO standards.Promoting and supporting continuous improvements across HSE activities and instilling company best practice.Positively driving behaviours to ensure a robust HSE culture and pivotal in gaining employee engagement in all HSE activities.Providing strategic direction and guidance to the board and operational colleagues to ensure the company achieves its HSE mission and objectives.Staying current with legislative changes, industry trends and best practices and making sure these are integrated into site operations.The Successful ApplicantSuccessful candidates will have a strong COMAH background and a proven ability in leading and developing HSE teams.
