An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join a dedicated and professional legal team in the transport industry, based in Birmingham. The role will involve providing robust legal advice and guidance to various stakeholders across the wider business.

Job Description

The Legal Counsel will be:​

  • Providing legal advice on a broad spectrum of commercial matters.​
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements including IT/IP.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.​
  • Managing and mitigating legal risks associated with business operations.​
  • Supporting the legal team in managing and resolving legal disputes.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinating with external solicitors as necessary.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
  • Participating in strategic legal decisions.
  • Keeping updated on industry legislation and legal standards.

The Successful Applicant

The Legal Counsel should be:​

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 4+ years PQE in commercial law.​
  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.​
  • Knowledgeable about compliance and regulatory matters.​
  • Adept at managing legal risks and providing strategic legal advice.​
  • An excellent communicator with strong analytical skills.
