Health and Safety Manager (Head of)

The H&S Manager needs to have a direct hands-on approach in the day to day, and be confident in delivering training and implementing safety requirements across multiple sites/projects.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· You will ensure legal compliance for health and safety in the workplace by conducting regular audits and inspections

· You will lead in training and development with new and existing members of staff

· At all times, you must promote our proactive "Zero Harm" culture across departments

· Responsible for ensuring incident investigations are conducted promptly, including root cause analysis and corrective action is undertaken

· Creation, implementation and review of Risk Assessments, safe working procedures and method statements

· Delivery of the company Health and Safety strategy and initiation for the site/s

· Review all existing company Health & Safety documentation and update accordingly in line with our statutory obligations including CDM Regulations

· Ensure that all "assessments" as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals

· Visit each Project site and during that visit, you will conduct regular health and safety inspections/audits and prepare detailed H&S audit reports

· Review of all RAMS and COSHH assessments and update where necessary

· You will carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and record the findings on the relevant forms
