Job Description

  • Provide expert legal advice to the organisation
  • Oversee corporate governance and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Manage the company's secretarial duties
  • Lead and motivate a team of legal professionals
  • Implement legal strategies that align with the organisation's objectives
  • Manage the organisation's legal budget
  • Prepare and review legal documents and contracts
  • Liaise with external solicitors and regulators

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Legal & Company Secretary should have the following qualifications & experience:

  • A qualified solicitor in the UK or relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience in a leadership role within the legal department of a not-for-profit and/or healthcare organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate governance and compliance
  • Strong skills in legal analysis and drafting legal documents
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
