Job Description

Manage and oversee all gas-related maintenance, servicing, and repair activities within our social housing properties.
Ensure compliance with all gas safety regulations, codes of practice, and health and safety legislation.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for gas safety management.
Coordinate and manage a team of gas engineers and external contractors, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of gas installations and appliances to ensure compliance and identify any necessary remedial work.
Respond to gas-related emergencies and incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all gas-related activities, including safety certificates and maintenance logs.
Provide expert advice and support to other departments and stakeholders on gas safety matters.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

Proven experience in a gas management role, preferably within the social housing sector.
Relevant qualifications in gas safety, such as ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme) and Gas Safe registration.
In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations, codes of practice, and health and safety legislation.
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing teams and contractors.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
