About Our Client

My client is a PE-backed Tech/Telco SME based in Kingston upon Hull/Humber area. Due to continued growth and the recent PE investment the need has arisen for a dynamic data savvy Financial Controller to support the development of the finance function and business partner the wider business on its growth journey.

Job Description

The FC will play an integral role in delivering the growth throughout the Private Equity cycle and beyond acting as an able deputy to the Group CFO. Specifically they will be responsible for the following:

FP&A

  • Effective business partnering to both CFO and C-suite
  • Coordination of annual budget/forecast process working closely with non-financial stakeholders



Finance & Team

  • Lead the day to day running of the finance team of 5 including Accounting, Purchase and Sales Ledger, Financial Planning and Analysis and Treasury
  • Responsible for managing the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and to provide insightful analysis to facilitate performance improvement across the business.
  • Managing working capital management and cash flow forecasting
  • Oversight of payroll for all entities including overseas payroll
  • Oversight of VAT returns and overseas tax compliance
  • Manage year end audit process being principal contact for External Auditors

The Successful Applicant

The successful Financial Controller should have:

  • Fully qualified (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) with significant post qualification experience
  • Exposure to fast paced dynamic private equity backed environment ideal
  • Experience within the Tech/Telecommunications sector ideal
  • Advanced analytical skills including Excel and ideally SQL advantageous
