Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Controller, who's role initially will be very much hands on, the individual will need to apply a can-do attitude, rolling their sleeves up and taking ownership for Finance as a whole. The role requires delivery of management accounts on a monthly basis & cash flow forecasts. Additionally, assisting with bank reconciliations & fee payments.

Job Description

  • Preparation and completion of VAT returns
  • Maintaining company bookkeeping records
  • Production of monthly management information
  • Cash flow management
  • Forecasting/Modelling for future acquisitions
  • Production of annual audit pack for year-end accounts
  • Ad-hoc queries from funders/directors
  • Support company with future growth plans

The Successful Applicant

This is a perfect role for someone looking to take real ownership of a finance function as a Financial Controller, starting initially in a much more hands on capacity, delivering day to day finance support, but in turn provides the opportunity to work on a range of exciting adhoc challenges, such as mergers and acquisitions, interfacing with Private Equity firms and transformation of current processes.

You will need to be ACA or ACCA qualified, have experience working in a professional services capacity and a minimum of 3 years PQE.

It could suit someone at Manager/Senior Manager grade looking to move from a Mid-Tier firm where you have prepared accounts, or someone who has moved to industry and is seeking a move that will really enable career growth!

This role is based in Birmingham, offers lots of flexibility alongside a need for some UK travel

What's on Offer

This role is paying up to £75,000 plus a range of strong benefits, including a 15% bonus.
