Job Description

As a Financial Accountant with responsibilities than span the EMEA regions, you will be expected to manage several stakeholder relationships whilst looking after a broad range of financial accounting activities including; Accounting & Compliance, VAT & Interest work, Fixed Assets, Payroll Accounting etc.

Process improvement is also a key area of the position and you will be expected to streamline processes across EMEA to improve the way things are done and the controls around them. You will have responsibility for different legal entities outside of the UK.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will ideally have come from a Management Accountant/ Financial Accountant background. You will have either ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA and the preference would be some industry experience too. That being said, my client will consider someone who comes from a practice background.

You will have experience in successfully managing relationships with different stakeholders; if you have done so on an international basis, that's even better. It is imperative that you are comfortable picking up the phone and having difficult conversations.

Whilst it isn't essential, if you have VAT compliance experience this is a huge bonus for my client- ideally having done VAT returns for different countries with their own VAT rules.
