Job Description

  • Assist the Financial Control and Fixed Assets Manager in maintaining an effective control environment, with a special focus on the balance sheet, resulting in ongoing financial control improvement.
  • Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards and regulations in order to guarantee that statutory accounts are prepared correctly and to a high standard within the time frames specified.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end audit files for Group businesses and assist the Financial Accounting team in delivering year-end accounts on time. Day-to-day engagement with external audit, including fast responses to questions presented during the financial audit process.
  • Track Internal and External Audit recommendations for financial accounting and control and ensure that they are implemented as soon as possible.
  • Improve financial reporting and control while providing an efficient and effective service to internal and external clients by expanding the usage of finance systems.
  • Control the inter-company reconciliation procedure and the reporting schedule.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and forecasting to assist the firm in making successful and informed decisions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Accounting experience is required and preferred if related to construction and residential property development.
  • Exposure to dealing with Fixed Assets & leading Audit processes
  • Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion abilities.
