Job Description

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repair of building fabric components, ensuring all work aligns with health and safety standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or necessary improvements within the property infrastructure.
  • Carry out painting, plastering, carpentry, and other general fabric maintenance tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with other team members and external contractors to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure all tools and materials are used responsibly and kept in good condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and provide regular updates to the property management team.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies within the building.
  • Support the implementation of planned preventive maintenance schedules.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Fabric Engineer should have:

  • Experience in general building fabric maintenance, including skills in areas such as carpentry, painting, and plastering.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations within a property setting.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders.
