Our client is looking to hire a Credit Risk Manager a deep understanding of risk management in the asset financing space. The successful candidate will work within a wider Credit Risk team, and focus on working on large scale deals (over £500,000).

Job Description

Risk Analysis and Evaluation:

  • Assess credit risk through analysis of financial statements and credit data.
  • Interpret credit reports and conduct due diligence with credit associations and business reps.
  • Generate financial ratios and benchmark against industry standards.
  • Evaluate collateral curve analysis considering market and portfolio factors.



Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare risk reports with recommendations for credit decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry guidelines and statutory regulations, including consumer credit, AML, and data protection.



Transaction and Portfolio Management:

  • Review transactions and recommend credit ratings/facility renewals.
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and collaborate with Collections to limit risk.
  • Complete risk reports on time and oversee vendor programs.
  • Maintain accurate data integrity in internal risk systems.



Credit Process Coordination:

  • Ensure transactions comply with credit sanctions and documentation requirements.
  • Provide risk comments during business screening meetings.
  • Coordinate the credit process, communicating with front office and sales teams.



Guidance and Development:

  • Guide front office in risk identification, analysis, and presentation.
  • Recommend improvements in systems and processes for efficiency.
  • Engage in personal development to achieve business and personal goals.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in credit risk, focusing on analysing and interpreting financial statements/data.
  • Understanding of the asset finance industry and the various product offerings and types of funding facilities available
  • Proficient in risk assessment of structured lending and cash flow lending transactions.
  • Analytical skills with a strong sense of commerciality and business focus.
  • Confident in analysing unsecured and secured transactions in the mid-ticket sector.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and efficiently both verbally and in writing to peers and senior management alike.
