Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsCredit Risk Analyst, Corporate and Trade Finance BankingLondon based, exciting new role with career opportunity .About Our ClientThe Credit Risk Analyst will join a Corporate and Trade Finance Banking group, based in London but operating heavily in emerging markets.This bank have some exciting plans ahead after a recent acquisition.The firm embodies flexible working and collaborative environment.Based in City of London.Job DescriptionThe Credit Risk Analyst will :* Review transaction and ensure transactions comply with credit sanctions and documentation requirement, and evaluate sector, environmental and business risks associated with the credit requests.* Partner with key stakeholders to review new structures, policy exceptions and control solutions. * Interact and manage expectations with 1LoD (business and sales team) and guide them in risk identification, analysis and presentation. * Monitor customer covenants. * Assist any coordinating any drawdowns in facility and maintain appropriate records and reporting as required. * Work collaboratively with other risk disciplines such as operational risk where appropriate to ensure enterprise wide view of risk is considered for a counterparty, portfolio, asset class etc. * Maintaining an updated watchlist and informing the team of any news that may change a recommendation or require senior management action and Liaising with Finance for IFRS 9 provision model calculating & reporting * Proactively monitoring loan portfolio and identify important early warning signals for 1LoD * Prepare monthly reports and provide recommendations to committee * Attend Credit Committee meetings for the purpose of taking notes and subsequently drafting a full set of minutes for approval by the committee members. * To abide by the requirement of the FCA's Consumer Duty Regulations to ensure customers' needs are placed first and fairness and good value remains at the heart of the Bank's products and services. * Other functions and tasks as maybe required to assist the CRO.The Successful ApplicantA successful Credit Risk Analyst should have:Solid experience in a related role; Credit Risk and Trade Finance Risk preferably in the African region* Strong credit underwriting skills* Strong understanding of key traditional trade instruments and their various risks* Experience in structured finance transactions* Demonstrated ability to operate in a time-sensitive environment while multi-tasking is a must have* Curious intellectual & business acumen with willingness to take a leading role in a wide range of initiatives and provide solutions* Excellent ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation* Good interpersonal skills with aptitude to influence decision process and align risk strategy with business objectives* Self-starter with demonstrated track record in successfully leading collaborative efforts with other constituents who may have different backgrounds, risk understanding, skill sets and priorities* Experience in interpreting and negotiating legal documentation would be an advantage* Strong attention to detailWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary of approximately £70,000-£75,000, depending on experience.Comprehensive benefits package (details to be confirmed).Supportive company culture focused on professional growth and compliance excellence.This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Credit Risk Analyst to make an impact.
