The client is a multinational in the construction industry who are offering a competitive opportunity to report in to the VP of HR. This role will handle a highly strategic scope which is also very hands on and oversee 6 countries.

Job Description

In this role, you will play a pivotal role by overseeing all HR activities, ensuring:

    • Efficient & effective management of the day to day HR tasks, while also driving & implementing key HR initiatives
    • Ensuring compliance with laws and company policies while fostering a positive workplace culture.
    • According to the Company's needs, Analyse business staffing needs and market developments, plan sourcing methods, warrant effective selection and on-boarding process.
    • Manage performance & talent management process in accordance with the Group's standards and ensure their effectiveness.
    • Analyse development needs, define Learning & Development plans and solutions,in order to provide employees with the necessary skills to meet current job requirements and for employee's future advancement.
    • Foster a culture of engagement, inclusion, diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
    • Coach leadership on all employee issues including disciplinary, selection, employee development, retention, talent management, benefits offerings, compensation philosophy, induction, payroll and organisational development needs.
    • Monitor and ensure that company facilities, equipment, furniture and fixtures are in good condition and are properly maintained, including the staff accommodation and vehicles.
    • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, anticipated problems whenever possible and develop/measure/initiate appropriate steps for resolutions.
    • Handle compensation and benefits, and define guiding principles to attract the right candidates in the most cost effective way, in line with Group policy & local standards
    • Oversee the budget of staff related costs and compile standard and ad-hoc reports to address reporting requests

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have/be

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field ; Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting managers and staff through the full employee life cycle from recruitment, on boarding, learning and development, performance management, remuneration and benefit reviews through to termination; with at least 10 years of experience in the HR Field
  • Act as real Business partner, with the ability to translate business goals into HR action plans
  • In-depth knowledge of Country labor laws (Bahrain) and regulations
  • Facilitate decision making in complex structures (matrix environment) where multiple stakeholders need to be aligned
  • Solution and result focus with a drive to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Solid communication and presentation skills

  • Self motivated, decisive and with self initiative
