Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsOffice of the Police & Crime Commissioner - West MerciaHindlip, WorcestershireAbout Our ClientOur client is the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner West Mercia.Job DescriptionThe Corporate Asset Manager will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive transformation and rationalisation of the West Merica Police estate which will involve:Forumulating and implementing an effective asset management strategy across the estate.To introduce and establish robust policies and practices which will ensure effective lease tenure and optimal asset management, adding value, reducing operating costs, minimising risk factors and losses, increasing ROI and reducing operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks to the PCC.To collate evidence and analysis of market conditions and asset performance and provide recommendations which will reliably inform and underpin decisions related to acquisition and disposal of Estate assets.To undertake risk analyses, identify investment opportunities prepare and present asset management reports to Governing Boards recommending change, adjustments, and corrective measures as and when required.To lead a programme of Estates rationalisation which will build capital receipts, support the capital borrowing strategy, reduce revenue operating costs, and optimise the value of Estates assets.To engage with and fully support all internal Estates Projects and Facilities Management Teams and ensure that all Estate properties are and remain qualitatively and functionally fit for purpose, maintaining effective delivery and continuity of service to the public.To lead on and ensure the delivery of strategic organisational programmes of Asset rationalisation across the WMP and HWFRS portfolio.To support the Head of Projects in delivering cyclical capital and revenue improvements programmes to the estate and assets.To ensure the professional development and welfare needs of the Estates Planning and Surveying Team members are met with full support ensuring that high levels of understanding engagement, motivation and direction are maintained.The Successful ApplicantApplicants for this role will need to be an MRICS Chartered Surveyor with an extensive and demonstrable background of delivering a programme of complex works particularly within disposals. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a robust and up to date understanding of the commercial real estate market and the valuations of commercial properties and associated land. You will also be able to demonstrate strong asset management experience and have the experience of visualising and implementing long term life cycle asset management strategies.
