We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer for a vital role within our Procurement & Supply Chain department . The successful candidate will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing operations and a strong understanding of working to ISO quality standards and IPC standards.

Job Description

As a Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the supply chain function and ensuring a smooth flow of materials to meet production demands. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translating MRP outputs into accurate and timely supplier orders, while considering lead times and inventory targets.
  • Ensuring on-time supplier deliveries through effective expediting and proactive communication.
  • Identifying and communicating material shortage risks across the business to minimise disruption.
  • Maintaining accurate ERP data for all assigned parts, including planning parameters, lead times, and cost data.
  • Monitoring goods received to ensure suppliers adhere to delivery schedules and avoid early shipments.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers/customers.
  • Managing inventory levels in line with business targets, identifying opportunities to reduce excess stock and obsolescence.
  • Leading and contributing to departmental and customer projects focused on continuous improvement.

  • Generate and analyse procurement and supply chain reports, metrics, and KPIs to provide valuable insights that support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
