Job Description

Our client is looking to expand rapidly and are looking for an experienced, hands-on Business Development Manager / Head of Business Development to drive growth by expanding the pipeline of new sites.This is a senior role that requires both strategic oversight and a willingness to get stuck into the day-to-day. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a cohesive business development strategy to support business growth, working closely with leadership, external consultants and potential stakeholders.

  • Develop and own the overall BD strategy across the UK
  • Build and manage the site finding process
  • Assess the suitability of future sites using a tested set of KPIs
  • Lead on the initial engagement with new Landlords across the UK
  • Work with leadership to align BD with business goals and expansion plans
  • Oversee all pipeline activity including locating potential new sites, engaging with new Landlords and performing early stage negotiations
  • Manage and grow a team to execute a process driven approach to finding new venues across the UK - not right away, but as the business grows
  • Track and record engagement and feedback and use this to further develop the pipeline expansion process
  • Provide regular performance reports to the leadership team
  • Work with and manage relationships with external property agents, ensuring all messaging is consistent and on-brand

The Successful Applicant

Our client would love to speak with strong business developers from either the property, leisure or sports industries. This role is all about 'site finding' and so if you've done this in a property setting, that would be amazing. A further breakdown of what our client is ideally looking for is below:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using tools such as Asana, Landinsight, Searchland etc. (desirable)
  • Comfortable working with data, tracking engagement across multiple sites at varying stages, and recording interactions in a scalable way
  • Comfortable working both strategically and operationally
  • Experience managing property agents or consultants is a plus as is experience with the planning process
