The AVP - SMR Specialist role is a critical position within the SMR team based in London . The role responsibilities will be to keep the SMR documentation up to date and carry out the day to day activities to ensure the firm meets regulatory obligations under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Senior Managers Regime in our London office.

Our client are a leading Global Corporate and Investment Bank and the role will be based in their London office.

Job Description

  • Implementation and management of SMCR.
  • Provision of advice to senior management on regulatory matters.
  • Development and management of risk & compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring of regulatory developments and ensuring compliance.
  • Delivery of training on SMCR to staff at all levels.
  • Management of a small team of risk & compliance professionals.
  • Reporting on regulatory matters to the Board.
  • Liaising with external auditors and regulators as required.

The Successful Applicant



The AVP - SMR Specialist should have the following skills:

· The role holder should be able to manage his/her own work and resolve routine problems and queries.

· The role holder should have sound judgement on prioritisation and be able to deal with multiple tasks in timely and accurate manner.

· The role holder should be able to communicate with stakeholders in professional manner and be able to express views clearly verbally and in writing.

· The role holder should be proactive and self-motivated.

· Previous experience in Senior Managers and Certification Regime desirable

· Knowledge in SMCR regulations and banking compliance
