Job Description

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and value in procurement operations.
  • Assist in sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal terms.
  • Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Regular travel will be required, across the UK.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns effectively.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and align strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Procurement Manager should have:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles within the consultancy industry is preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in procurement.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools such as SAP, Coupa etc.
  • Analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
