Job Description

As part of the Housing Associations leadership group, you will have lead responsibility for Transformation including:
* Leading the Transformation function to successfully deliver strategic, large-scale projects and programmes that support the organisational objectives
* To successfully manage the organisation's Transformation portfolio including resource planning.

Key responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Provide strategic thought leadership, expertise and guidance in relevant areas including business change, service design, PMO and project delivery.
  • Build strong relationships and ensure the Transformation function is well integrated across the organisation.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers providing development, transformation or delivery.
  • Undertake a continuing programme of personal development, maintaining professional knowledge and understanding of current best practices.
  • Be an active, engaged and contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Report and present metrics on the performance of transformation

Transformation

  • Ensure successful delivery including managing projects to scope, time, and budget.
  • Embed/manage relevant governance processes and frameworks which include supporting the Executive Team with status reporting, prioritisation and benefits realisation.
  • Manage the Transformation budget including capitalisation forecasting and reporting.
  • Lead the Transformation agenda across the organisation and successfully collaborate with internal stakeholders in order to understand the business operations, identify opportunities and translate them into transformation capabilities.
  • Partner closely with the AD of IT and Data to ensure alignment on vision and objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to:
  • 1) Objectively analyse the organisation's ability to absorb change and adopt projects and programs post-deployment.
  • 2) Influence, negotiate and agree on appropriate resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and day-to-day operational activities.



  • Define principles and standards to harmonise project management methodologies from third-party or external service providers.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently at all.
  • Build strong relationships and ensure the Transformation function is well integrated across the organisation.
  • Ensure effective performance management and support the team members.
  • Lead and support the wider business with project delivery, business analysis and process mapping resources.
  • Establish and lead a business change framework to ensure organisation-wide adherence and best practice.
  • Strive for best practices, ensuring the adoption and effective integration of customer and user-centred design and systems thinking.

The Successful Applicant

Essential Criteria:

Experience required

  • Previous experience managing a transformation function including project management.
  • Extensive experience as a senior change leader, defining the scope, costs, and benefits of projects, gaining agreement with customers, and directing teams to implementation.
  • Experience managing Service Design activity.
  • Experience successfully delivering projects, programmes and organisational change.
  • Extensive experience implementing and managing portfolio management processes including executive-level reporting and escalation.
  • Experience in applying best practice change management.
  • Experience working within a Housing Association is desirable but not essential.

  • Good listener with the ability to effectively apply knowledge.
  • Strong belief in customer satisfaction and business benefit-driven solutions.



Education

  • PRINCE 2 certified or
  • Educated to degree level or qualified by equivalent

What's on Offer

The salary for the role is between £90,000 - £100,000 + bens.
