Job Description
- Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
- Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
- Managing month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
- Organising financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
- Tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
- Establishing accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company's targets.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Understanding of data privacy standards.
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
- Computer literacy, particularly with spreadsheets and financial software.
- Qualifications in finance, accounting or relevant field.
