Their products are designed to improve the reliability of rotating equipment.Job DescriptionProvide hands on support for setting up test equipment, building and dismantling mechanical seals, carrying out routine maintenance of rigs and equipment, and ensuring the correct procedures are followed.To deal with all aspects of seal preparation including but not limited to, lapping, shot blasting, laser etching, cleaning, fitting, measuring and all associated documentation.Collect data and observations from tests, interrogate and clearly communicate the findings in the form of a test report to the responsible engineer.Ensure tests are carried out in a timely and safe manner.Thoroughly strip and inspect returned seals and compile accurate condition reportsCommunicate with external/internal suppliers and customers clearly and effectively.Maintain calibration of key items of instrumentation and maintain traceable history.To work as part of the Test House team as well as working independently.The Successful ApplicantHNC Level or equivalent Or BSc (Eng )Good hands-on practical skillsAbility to interpret engineering drawings.Proficient in the use of key Microsoft Office packages, Word and Excel.Good organisational skillHNC Level or equivalent.Ability to interpret engineering drawings.DesirableKnowledge of pumps and compressorsUnderstanding of calibration and instrumentationGood knowledge of mechanical seals (Wet and Dry)Experience with instrumentationReport writingExperience with mechanical sealsWhat's on OfferA competitive salary in the range of £30,000 per year.Opportunity to work with a well-established, globally recognised company.Comprehensive training and development opportunities.Excellent holiday entitlement.A supportive and collaborative company culture.
