Renowned for its robust business practices and commitment to industry excellence, the company provides a wonderful culture in which to work and an expectation of excellence in the services they provide..Job DescriptionThe Accounts Manager will have a wide range of duties including:Managing the Finance Transaction Team.To manage and oversee the Month end ledger reconciliationsTo manage and oversee the daily ledger reconciliations of income ensuring prompt identification and release of unidentified (unclaimed) income.To manage and oversee to ensure month end closure transactions provide a timely, clear and accurate base for the management accounts e g. VAT, deferred income, correction of miss postings and all expenditure accruals.To work with Financial Accountant on the timely production of the monthly management accounts.Substituting for the Financial Accountant when required to cover absence.To check all payments prepared by the Finance Transaction Team and approve for the Financial Accountant to release.To prepare or review / oversee All balance sheet reconciliations.Year-ends liaise directly with the external auditors and all subsidiaries key areas in income and expenditure.Perform year end analysisDevelop and evolve processes for the CRM and finance system to maximize efficiencies for the transaction team.Provide a backup for the Payroll and Senior Accounts Officer for the preparation and submission of monthly payroll and month end payroll close.To manage and oversee Subsidiaries Company Accounts in entirety.Prepare year end accounts up to final trial balance and completed draft word version for review and liaise with external auditors.To manage and be responsible for the Monthly pensions preparation and liaising with the pension providers.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Accounts Manager will have:Previous experience managing a small Finance TeamGood financial accounting knowledge, gained through experience or qualification, covering all ledgers, capital accounting, reconciliations and preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.Good IT skills and in particular, Excel.Previous experience of cash management and / or Treasury FunctionPayroll experience would be advantageous.Good communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate to achieve a solutionAbility to cope with work pressure prioritising work is essential and priorities constantly change so flexibility and pro activity is needed.Methodical and organized with an attention to detailWhat's on OfferThe salary on offer is £42,000 plus an extensive benefits package including:27 days holiday35 hours working weekGenerous Pension contributionPrivate healthcare schemeDeath in service coverIncome protectionAgile and Hybrid workingThis role will be mainly home based, with team meetings in the office once a month.
