I have worked for DVSA since July 2022. As a leader I believe that work should be rewarding and that we should provide opportunities for team members to develop and grow. I would welcome anyone who is interested in developing and delivering a great service to join our commercial function.
I’m in my 21st year with DVSA and am newly (internally) promoted to the role having worked in our commercial team for 8 years. I love to promote collaborative working within our team and with stakeholders, giving colleagues the chance to develop knowledge and skills, whilst encouraging appropriate autonomy in a supportive environment.
I've been emersed in the exciting world of commercial for over 15years. DVSA is a great place to work due to the opportunities for development and positive work environment. As a leader, I prioritise the growth, development, and well-being of team members, creating a sense of trust and belonging. Outside of work, I have two 12-year-old Jack Russell dogs who keep me busy with their daily walks.
I’ve been with DVSA for 10 years and the way we have been able to drive commercial change within the organisation has been great to be part of; we still have more to do. As a leader, creating a supportive team environment is a priority for me, this allows individuals to develop skills & expertise and to try new things in a safe way. We work hard & have some laughs along the way.
As a leader of these categories, I provide a wide and varied range of both commercial and development opportunities and experiences. My focus for the team is to create a supportive, welcoming, and positive environment to support DVSA in achieving our organisational and commercial objectives while developing individuals to reach their full potential.
