Job Description

  • Manage tax compliance processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Provide strategic advice on tax planning within the insurance industry.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
  • Oversee the preparation of corporate tax returns and other statutory filings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address tax-related queries.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Support business decisions with tax-efficient strategies and solutions.
  • Lead and mentor junior members of the tax department.

The Successful Applicant

  • A recognised qualification in accountancy or tax, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
  • Proven experience in tax compliance and advisory roles, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and its application to businesses.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-specialists.
  • Proficiency in using tax software and other relevant tools.
  • Experience managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
