Job Description

  • Oversee credit control processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Manage customer accounts, including setting credit limits and assessing creditworthiness.
  • Monitor aged debt reports and take appropriate action to reduce overdue balances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice disputes and payment queries.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment history.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit control performance for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements within the retail industry.
  • Support the accounting and finance department with ad hoc tasks as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Credit Controller should have:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a related role within the accounting and finance department.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
