Job Description

  • Preparation and presentation of financial reports.
  • Responsible for the line management of Finance Officers
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits ensuring that timely and accurate information is provided.
  • Manage financial systems and procedures.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the Group VAT return and submission to HMRC.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision making.
  • Posting and/or review of all non-transactional journals to the company accounting systems, including monthly accruals, prepayments and intercompany.
  • Provide personal leadership for the team promoting the company values, continuous improvement, collaboration and excellent customer service.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • CCAB qualification (ICAEW / ACCA / CIPFA / ICAS), with post qualification experience.
  • Line management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Social Housing, its regulatory environment and Housing finance.
  • Experience in financial systems and procedures management.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.

What's on Offer

  • Salary range of £55,000 - £60,000.
  • Defined Contribution pension scheme with employer contribution of 6% - 9%.
