Job Description

  • Assist in the accurate processing of payroll for staff members, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain employee records, including contracts, benefits, and leave entitlements.
  • Support the HR team with recruitment processes such as posting job advertisements and scheduling interviews.
  • Respond to payroll and HR-related queries from employees in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports on payroll and HR metrics for management review.
  • Handle other administrative tasks to support the Human Resources department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll & HR Assistant should have:

  • Experience or interest in payroll and human resources within the not-for-profit or education sector.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems or HR software is advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
